4. EDIT: The Mormon and Muslim colors are hard to tell apart. IN-7 is indeed a Muslim.

Though I would love to know where the Unitarian representatives are.

5. There are no Baptist in the Tennessee Congressional

contingency?

Good to know, since I live here. Specifically in a Methodist district.

6. From the U.S. Constitution, Article VI, paragraph 3:

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.

I was commenting on the reality of the way most of them think.

8. Don't take this the wrong way

but if I know what religion my representative or senator has, I think I need a new one.

This is not the way to have a workable political system.

16. Is he that Basque Irish Italian dude?

I believe he may be a cultural Catholic at best. These days, he calls himself a Christian; his pro-choice feminist positions puts him at odds with church dogma.

20. Nope, Chaldean Catholic as opposed to Roman Catholic

an Eastern Syriatic branch that recognizes the pope but has a different liturgy. There are a few other Catholic churches like this.

A she, BTW, Anna Eshoo (CA-18): votes reliably most of the time but IMHO a back-bencher.

So, who's the Basque-Irish-Italian dude?

10. This is a map of faiths, not religions.

As the text notes, there are 26 sects of Christianity represented (out of 31 'religions') which really means there are at most 6 religions among the MOCs.

Still, it's an interesting map.

17. My congressperson believes in the separation of church and and state ...

... so it doesn't matter what her religious affiliation may or may not be. It's none of my business.
